He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Davis and Roma Davis; his siblings, Caroll, Bernard, Geraldine, Betty, Everett, Evelyn and Nita; his nephews, Tony and Kip; and his sister-in-law Peggy.
He is survived by: his wife Dawn June Russel; his children, Bob, Jimmy, Joe, Bill, Larry and Lynn Lyons; and his siblings, Ray, Verdin "Boots", Alvin "Buddy", Jerry, James, Carl, Lori and Doris. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
