She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thums and Amalie Thums (Linsmeier). She is survived by: her siblings, Mary, Frances and Herbert; her nephew Michael (Gail); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Aidan, Elise and Amalie.

Hildegarde's contributions to her community were profound.
