He was predeceased by: his parents, William T. Barnes and Mary M. Barnes (Thorpe); his siblings, Betty June and Bill; and his great grandchild Kade Pettit.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle of Sweet Home; and his children, Scott Barnes (Christine) of Sweet Home, Joan Funk (Rick) of Lebanon, Sandra Cline of Surprise, Arizona, Robert (Debe) of Warrenton and Laura Pettit (Dan Renton) of Yacolt, Washington. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
