He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Lester" Burnett and Loletta Barr Burnett; his sisters, Meredith Yarborough and Lois Gray; and his granddaughter Shawna Robb.
He is survived by: his sister Sharon; his former spouse Billie May Pace; his children, Karen Elaine Thompson of Caldwell, ID, Gloria Dawn Burnett of Medford, OR and Roger Dale Burnett of Sweet Home, OR; his wife Cathy Ann Lais; and his daughter Lori Jo Tuter of Sweet Home, OR. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
