She was predeceased by: her husband Bruce Warner Procknow; her parents, Elsie Ruth [Sackett] Briggs (Sackett) and Harold Eugene Briggs; her sisters, Kim Lee and Debra Anne Ribble (Larry); her stepmother Deloris Delight (Johnson); and her former husband Roy A. Howard (Donna) of Sweet Home.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Howard of Sweet Home, Sandra Davis (Anthony) of Edmonds, Washington and Barbara Hanten (Tom) of Lebanon; her stepsons, Donald Procknow (Vickie) of Sweet Home and Keith Procknow of Woodland, Washington; her sisters, Janice (Oar), Dawn (Monagon) and Patricia Rardin of Milwaukie; and her stepsiblings, Carol Eddy of Keizer and Daryl Volesky (Elenor) of Orange Beach, Alabama.. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren plus multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Shortly thereafter, Bette became extremely ill with covid, the after effects of covid, coupled with two rare neurological disorders limiting her ability to speak and care for herself added to her declining health, making it necessary for her to sell their home and move into nursing care in 2021.
