It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Christopher of Sutherlin, Oregon, born in Sunnyside, Washington, who passed away on February 1, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son John Burton "J. B." van Belle; his parents, Johnny Belle and Alta van Belle; and his siblings, Betty Jo van Belle, Charlot Beard and Jim van Belle.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie van Belle; his sister Ellen Pederson of Prosser, WA; his children, Pati Tipps (Ed) of Sutherlin, OR, Charles M. van Belle (Annette) of Everett, WA, Steve van Belle, Diane Maxfield (Reuel) of Sutherlin and Vicki Stafford (Bart) of St. Paul, MN; and his daughter-in-law Leanne Jenson (Ken) of Tulalip, WA. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grand-children and one great-great-grandchild, as well as cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to covid-19 restrictions, service in Sutherlin will be limited to just family members.
