He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford W. Lauman and Ella E. Lauman (Berner); his former wives, Frieya Simpson and Carol; his brothers-in-law, Al McCauley and Vern Dewey; and his grandson Andy Mercer.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy Gilchrist of Summerville, Oregon; his sisters, Jeannie McCauley of Springfield and Anita Dewey of Prineville, Oregon; his children, Chris Lauman (April) of Nehalem, Oregon and Kimberly Cusumano (Jeff) of Union, Oregon; and his stepdaughter Dianna Hansen (Al) of Redmond, Oregon. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many other relatives.
He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and local gun ranges.
