He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilbert Smith and Naoma Elliott (Rooks); and his siblings, Alvin and Sally. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his son Scott; his stepdaughters, Debbie and Kim (Bobby); his grandchildren, Laell, Anna, Kiersten, Lele and Bobby III; his great grandchild Chris; and his brother Craig Hanke of Eugene.
