He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Thomas and Alberta Wilson; his siblings, Polly Brazzel, Richard H. Washington and McKinnely Washington; his wife Sherrie Howard; and his son Manuel Kim Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Magdalena Duran; his children, Rachael Anita, Linda, Emmett Louie Jr., Daniel (Florence), Michael (Gemma), David, Debra (Charles), Lydia (Frank) and Yvonne; and his siblings, Lydia Beatrice White, Robert William, Moses King (Angela) and Elijah King (Alice).
