He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Vandehey and Agnes Vandehey; his former wife Marie Sohler Vandehey; his wife Rita Vuylsteke Vandehey; and his siblings, Gene, Vera and Marlene.

He is survived by: his children, Jackie Schumacher (Doug) of Stayton, Jeannie Worley (Bud) of Clackamas, Roger Vandehey (Shelly) of Creswell, Russell Vandehey (Trudy) of Oregon City, Denise Beggs (Pat) of Turner and Ed Vandehey (Judy) of Salem; and his siblings, Bob Vandehey of Banks and Loraine Volz of Chicago, IL.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
