He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hugh and Olena Faye Gorthy; and his sisters, Evelyn Lawson and Vivian Sproed. He is survived by: his wife Veva Gorthy; his children, David Gorthy (Melody), Michael Gorthy (Jeanette) and Jeanine Elbert (Alvin); his grandchildren, Allen, Geoffrey, Megan and Troy; and his great grandchildren, David and Adrianna.
