“Patrick and family, I am so terrribly sorry for your loss. Doris was known to me as Saint Mrs. Byrnes during middle school, when she and your family allowed me to stay in your home until school started, and high school, where she allowed myself and friends to stay late and work on homework in the office she worked in. She was the most dear and kind person I have ever known and though I never made any true effort in keeping in touch, for which I am sorry, she truely impacted my life. Brian Rice”
