“In loving memory of Derek Humphry - Someone so special will not be forgotten. In the 1980s I was inspired to join Hemlock after Derek's presentation to San Diego's American Humanist Society. Didn't meet him in person again till 10 years ago when he came to speak to our Final Exit/Choice&Dignity group in Tucson. His words/books gave me the courage to let my mother go through voluntarily stopping eating/drinking. He helped so many, and will do down in history as a courageous giant of a man.”
