He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Wackerle and Lorraine Wackerle (Heitzig); his former wife Vonda; and his siblings, Alan Wackerle, Renee Strawn and Scott.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Jean Dietrich; his children, Michael Wackerle of Arkansas and Vachele Wackerle of Arkansas; his brother Tom Wackerle (Kim) of Prescott; and his granddaughters, Kyanna and Lily. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Apostolic Christian Church (4700 Howell Prairie Rd NE, Silverton, OR 97381). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at the Pratum Cemetery.
