He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus and Kate; and his siblings, Bill, Bernard, Don, Eustace, Janet and Betty.

He is survived by: his wife Marian; and his children, David Bender of Stayton, Greg Bender of Marion and Deb Skiles (Brian) of Salem. He is also survived by Nine grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
