He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathryn Peterson and Sigfrid Peterson; his grandparents, Arthur, Genevieve Falkner, Conrad and Anna Peterson; and his brother David.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Peterson of Corvallis, Sheila Peterson Daniels of Hubbard and Karen Peterson of Souderton, Pennsylvania; his wife Linda Peterson of Salem; and his grandchildren, Zach Peterson, Rachael Dunnell, Kristin Wilson, Lauren Humphreys, Justin Peterson and Nikolas Peterson. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
