He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin and Hulda; his sister Barb Tompkins (Wade); and his grandson Iaen Cole. He is survived by: his wife Tracy Slavens; his daughters, Sarah Woodall (Andrew) of Hillsboro, OR, Alexis Cole (Daniel) and Emily Mehlhoff; his grandchildren, Eloise, Norah Cole and Sawyer Woodall; and his siblings, Mark Mehlhoff of Fargo, ND and Beth Orton (Kerry) of Rochester, MN.
