He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Bonesteel and Lois Manchester Bonesteel; his stepfather Victor Sparlin; and his brother Phillip Sparlin. He is survived by: his wife Charlene Sparlin; his children, Julie of Roseburg and Thomas of Roseburg; and his brothers, Victor Sparlin, Jr. and Glen Sparlin. He is also survived by five nieces and three nephews.
