He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rufus Shelton and Addie Etta Melton; his wife T. Etola Shelton; his son Ronald A Shelton; and his grandson James A Koch.
He is survived by: his daughter Donna Koch; his granddaughter Kathy Roberts (Wes); his great grandchildren, Kelsey Peterson (Lee), Kyle Roberts and Brody Koch; and his great great grandchildren, Carl Peterson and Madilyn Peterson of Roseburg.
