David Lawrence Ridley Obituary

Ridley, David “Gus” Lawrence, 83 passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5th, 2023. He was born September 17th, 1939 to Joseph and Cleo (Brown) Ridley. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ridley, daughter Teresa Ernstein, and son Joseph Ridley. Dave loved reading. His house, and storage unit, were always filled with boxes of books on just about everything. His favorite subjects were genealogy, religion, and world history. If ever asked about a person, place, or time, he could give a detailed summary of what happened and how everything played out. Dave loved the Pacific Northwest and being in it. As often as if it were possible he would take his son camping. He was an active member of “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints”. He loved being actively a part of the youth programs, due to the fact that he never stopped being one. Dave was enthusiastic for genealogy and often volunteered to help others research their family lines. Dave’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the faculty at the V.A. loving and compassionate care for Dave these past few years. Private inurnment service will be held at the VA cemetery Friday January 20th, from 10am - 11am.
