She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold C. Stevens and Mary Gene Stevens (Marshall); and her sister Patricia Dempsey Calandrino. She is survived by: her husband Melvin James Stout (Mel); and her sister Judith Corbett of Topeka. She is also survived by two nephews and a niece.

Donations in Marsha's memory may be made to Planned Parenthood and the Deschutes County Historical Society.
