She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Nelson and Nadine Nelson; her sisters, Deanna Agan Downey and Elaine Jones; her uncle Robert Cook (Bob); her grandson Todd Teske; and her close friend Robert Hawthorne.
She is survived by: her close friend Arthur Abbas (Lyle); and her children, Annetta Bracken, Natalie Newport, Carl Shafer and Sherri Steenkolk. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
