It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Lynne Straughan of Prineville, Oregon, who passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Shirley had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Shirley may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her mother Evelyn Duncan (Gould). She is survived by: her father Wayne Duncan of Hines; her husband Jim Straughan of Prineville; her sisters, Connie Budke (Dale) of Kentucky and Debbie Florence (Andy) of Virginia; and her stepchildren, Angela Boothroyd (Steven) of Redmond, Todd Straughan (Megan) of Redmond and Eric Straughan (Randi) of Redmond.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Prineville Elks Lodge (151 N Main St, Prineville, OR 97754).
