He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edwin Gagermeier and Eileen Hale Selbo; his brothers, Robert Gagermeier (Kathy), Felix Gagermeier (Carole), Ken Selbo and Tim Selbo; his wife Linda Hollis; his siblings-in-law, Archie, Lola Hollis, Ron Hollis (Judy), Glenn Hollis (Terrie) and Marilyn Hollis Capehart; his children, David Gagermeier (Laura) and Lori Lyle (Roger); and his grandchildren, Stephanie White (David), Travis Lyle, Merissa Gagermeier, Blake John (Emily) and Matt John (Ravonne).
