With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lon Austin (Prineville, Oregon), who passed away on March 24, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Lon may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parent Orlie Austin. He is survived by: his mother Alice Austin of Haines Alaska; his wife Karlene Austin of Prineville; his daughters, Misty Johnson of Huntsville Alabama and Candice Carter of Sitka Alaska; and his grandchildren, Lilah Johnson, Elijah Johnson, Silas Johnson, Aurora Carter, Opal Carter and Iris Carter.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Crook County High School (1100 SE Lynn Blvd, Prineville, OR 97754).
