It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorene Louise Ashcraft in Prineville, Oregon, born in Mitchell, Oregon, who passed away on April 6, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Clisby Bert; her husband William Douglas Ashcraft (Doug); her great-great-grandparents, Alanson Beers and Rachel Beardsley Beers; her siblings, Della Elaine Williams, Crystal Leola Barklow, John Lawrence, Berl Elwood, Roy Lee, Robert Homer and Floyd Donald; and her son-in-law Timothy Blaine Birkby.
She is survived by: her mother Mary Elizabeth Trent (Molly); her brother Prineville; her daughters, Renae Jean McInnes, Vicki Sue Birkby, Janice Marie Radabaugh and Jennifer Michele Goff; her sister Carol Jean Martin of Salem; her nieces, Renae, Vicki, Janice (Gordon) and Jennifer (Robert); her grandchildren, Rachel, Pat, Jodi, Sarah, Justin, Christian and Matilda; and her great grandchildren, Gwendolyn, Alice, Rowen, Grayson, Paxton and Olivia. She is also survived by mother and for her efforts to foster children.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Juniper Haven Cemetery (1555 N Main St, Prineville, OR 97754). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (333 SE Idlewood St, Prineville, OR 97754).
