He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Byler and Iva Byler; his wife Dolly Byler (Arrasmith); and his siblings, Will, Robert, Mary and Muryl.
He is survived by: his sons, Lyle Byler (Dee), Gordon Byler (Elloa), Roger Byler (Peggy) and Alan Byler (Sandy); and his close friend Gladys Powelson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
