He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Otha and Alta Frances Davis (Whitlock); and his siblings, Betty Reynolds, Bonnie Hayes and Clyde.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Pollard; his grandchild Sandy; his children, Gary Davis (Brekke) and Sandy Gannon (Mike); his grandchildren, Josh, Miranda, Ally, Maddy, Grace, Parker and Hudson; and his sisters, June Pipkin, Vera Harper, Donna Smalling and Juanita Strawn.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association to honor family members that have struggled with this disease.

“Dear Nancy and family. We just found out about Darrell's passing and wanted to give you our deepest sympathies at this time. Darrell was a very special friend and golfing buddy. I always looked forward to Monday and Thursday golfing times with Darrell and all of our other golfing friends at PGCC. He was a very kind and considerate man who always asked about our family and boys. We moved from Prineville to Dundee in 2013. Don and Janlee Smith”
