He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Franklin McDonald and Jessie Ann McDonald (Brown); and his siblings, Maxine Watson (McDonald), Juanita McDonald, Carl McDonald, Lois McDonald, Clifton McDonald and Calvin McDonald.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Elaine McDonald (Blanchard); his children, Kelly McDonald, Kandi DuLaney and Korenna Sparks; his grandchildren, Tanya DeMauro (Robert DeMauro), Sarah Warren (Jon Warren), T'nisha Spangle (Kasey Spangle), Robert Morfitt, Justin Morfitt and Victoria Mikelsen; and his great grandchildren, Bethany DeMauro, Jacob DeMauro, Lucas Hogeland, Hunter Self, Layla Self, Demetri Kenny, Amadeus Gerlach, Katana Gerlach, Willow Gerlach, Landyn Spangle, Lausyn Spangle, Lainey Spangle and Annebelle Ramirez.
