She was predeceased by: her parent Harvey Arlin Stamey; her husband Curtis R. "Bill" Owens; her brothers, Thomas Harvey Stamey and Buford Burnett Stamey; and her stepfather William Carl Stamey.

She is survived by: her parent Annie Mae Black Stamey; and her children, Sharon D. Greene, Dolores Greene Wicker (Fred), Michelle Greene Johnson (Kelly), Sheila Greene Watts (Dean) and Deidra L. Owens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to the Thiel-Meyer Pet Adoption Center.
