He was predeceased by : his parents, James Milton "Milt" Cain and Ethel Carter Truesdale; his sister Patricia Jean Knorr; and his nephew Charles "Chuck" Knorr. He is survived by : his child Beavers; his former life partner Tonia Rae Kissler; his wife Sherrie Zavala; his children, Robert J. Cain of Powell Butte, DeAnn R. Cain of Redmond, OR and Terry D. Kremer of Washougal, WA.; the mother of his children Tonia Kissler Cain (Sherrie Zavala) of Redmond, OR; his nephew Richard "Dick" Knorr of Redmond, OR; and his niece Tammy Croxen of Bend. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Charles Hospice or to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Oregon Chapter.
