He was predeceased by: his parents, Weldon R. Bartels and Sandra Bartels; his daughter Sandra Barnard; and his sister Judy. He is survived by: his wife Katherine Jean Collins; his children, Debra Clark (Steve) of Hermiston, Rebecca Bither (Harry) of Hermiston, Richard Bartels (Catherine) of Powell Butte and Roberta Allstott (Mike) of Central Point; and his sisters, Leona and Janet. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren.
