He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton and Pauline; his sister Lois Mae; his son-in-law Jay Lamb; and also, Martin Melsness, Delia Melsness, Paul Melsness and Connie Melsness.
He is survived by: his spouse Sharon Melsness; his children, Jeff Wessel (Billi), Tom Wessel (Suzi), Dan Wessel (Patti), Pam Lamb and Donna Kness (Johnney); his brother Ken; and also, Kelly, Daniel, Teresa, Stacy, Mindy, Casey, Taylor, Jeffrey, Kimberly, Jesse, Justin, Riley, Ally and Wyatt.
