He is survived by: his siblings, Ronald Carter, Myra Faye Lewis, Elizabeth Lewis, Brenda Davis, Arthur Carter, Beverly Frazier, Fred Carter and Kenneth Carter; his children, Dwayne Lewis, LaTosha Lewis, Wayne Lewis Jr., Kieshawn Lewis, LaNisha Lewis, Jermaine Lewis and Akia Lewis; and his daughter-in-law Tiffany Lewis.
