She was predeceased by: her parents, Anne Stephens and Oliver Cromwell Stephens Jr.; and her husband Dr. Robert D. Simmons. She is survived by: her children, Eric (Sherry), Laura (Don) and Jennifer (Bertony); her grandchildren, Tylin (Nicholas), Quinn, Shane, Clare, Miles and Jacqueline; and her siblings, Linda and Charles. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Sandra's memory to Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
