He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Lewis and Claude Lewis. He is survived by: his children, Tanya Rohrs, Nakimerah Cesear, Alonzo Roper and Ezekiel Dotsey; his siblings, Susan, Cynthia, Patricia and Gary Sr.; his nieces and nephews, R. Drake, Gabriel Sr., Gary Jr., Erika, Melissa and Chalise; and his grandson Derrell Simpson Il. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Humane Society and The Oregon Food Bank in Pops, memory. These organizations were close to his heart, and any donations made would honor his legacy.
