He is survived by: his mother Jean Lucile Granville (Hitt); his sister Liz Olmeim (Kolar); his brother-in-law Bruce Olmeim; his nieces and nephews, Jonah Olmeim, Lucas Olmeim, Jen Tullos (Olmeim) and Megan Ueeck (Olmeim); his sister Natalia Joan Carlson; his brother-in-law Derrick Todd Yazzie; his niece Morgan Scout Yazzie; his nephew Xander Reed Yazzie; and his close friend Ronald Lee East Sr.. He is also survived by numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Later, when Ella developed Parkinson's Disease, he and Ella's daughter, Nancy East, assisted in her care until Nancy's untimely death in 2019 and then Ella's passing in 2020.
