He was predeceased by: his parents, James Buckley and Florence Buckley. He is survived by: his siblings, Sue Becker, Gary Buckley, Pat Buckley and Theresa Buckley. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and great-nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Michael's memory to the Lake Oswego Public Library or Sunshine Division Food Bank in SE Portland.
