He is survived by: his wife Ardellis; his children, Dorinda Hempel and Kenneth Hempel (Jennifer); his granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Jenna; his daughters, Denise Moore (Scott) and Deanne Weisgerber (Greg); and his grandchildren, Abigail and Claire.
