She was predeceased by: her parents, Webster Bell Sr. and Mary Lou Darden Bell. She is survived by: her son Marcus Garvis Mays Jr.; her husband Glenzey Franklin; her grandsons, Brian Mays Sr. (Carmencita Mays) and Damien Mays of Chesapeake, Virginia; and her daughter-in-law Valaria Mays. She is also survived by four great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
