He was predeceased by: his parents, Merritt Crayton Long and Phyllis Long Keyport; and his sister Diana Long. He is survived by: his wife Sonya Lovett; and his siblings, Jim Melstrom of Maple Grove, Minnesota, Laurie Thomas (Larry) of Grace, Idaho, Jo Weller (Mike) and Grace Long (Mike Corbin) of Palmer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In his memory, donations may be made to Valley Community for Recycling Solutions, the National ALS Association, the Prostate Cancer Research Institute, or the Blood Bank of Alaska.
