He is survived by: his family Jeff; his mother Marilyn Sloan; his sons, Demetrius Burkhardt, Markel Burkhardt (Alexandria), Elijah Burkhardt (Natalia) and Javon Taye Araujo; his grandchildren, Alexander Burkhardt and Amiayah Burkhardt; his sisters, Anika Sloan and Cecily Huchin; his former wife Ali Williams; his aunt Chantay Reid (Elwood); his niece J'Reyanna Sweet; his nephew Langston Harris; his great-niece Jiya Sweet; and his cousin T. Kerry Smith (Lisa).
