He was predeceased by: his parents, Hyrum Lambert Kearsley and Lucy Louise Dewey; his former wife Wilma Noble Kearsley; and his brothers, Robert, Kent, Forrest and Duane.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Bennett; his siblings, Renee Sullivan and Keith Kearsley; and his children, Kay Olson, Pat Kearsley, Stuart Kearsley and Chad Kearsley. He is also survived by his fourteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
