He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Settje and Mary Eileen Settje; his parents-in-law, Ruth Johnson and Westley Johnson; and his sister-in-law Marylou Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Kristine Settje (Kris); his brothers, Larry and Ron Settje; his siblings-in-law, Rob Wehrley, Ron Johnson, Ann Wehrley, Teri Settje, Connie Settje, Luciana Trevison and Nora Settje; his nieces and nephews, Allison Wehrley, Katherine Cohn, Maureen Wehrley, Kessa Elliot, Mike Wehrley, Casey Settje and Alex Johnson; his nephews-in-law, H. J. Cohn and Ben Cruz; his great-nephew Henry Cohn; and his great-nieces, Olivia Cohn and Jimena Cruz.
