He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Freeland Mentzer and Hazel Augusta Warner; his brothers, Lloyd Mentzer and Leonard Mentzer (Linda Earwood); and his granddaughter Elizabeth Mentzer.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Arlene McKinnon Ward; his children, Lani Mentzer Bass (Gary), Tommy Mentzer, Andrew Mentzer (Lexie), Curtis Ward and Cathy Ward-Stelk; his grandchildren, Tanner Bass, Katelyn Bass, Stephanie LeClair, Remington LeClair, Thomas Mentzer, Brody Mentzer, Wyatt Mentzer, Charlise Mentzer, Sorrel Beers, Cheyenne Ward, Tyrel Ward, Andy Stelk (Jessica) and Eric Stelk (Mackayla); and his spouse Sonja Lawhead. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and sister.
