He is survived by: his wife Carmen Dobson Steggell; his sister Dorene Steggell (Richard Shield); and his children, Valerie Steggell-Earl (Shawn), Aileen Steggell Pace (John Allen), John William Steggell (Andrea Ray), Sarah Harper (Scott) and Mary Steggell Arevalo (Raul).
