It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Alice Peterson (Pendleton, Oregon), who passed away on March 30, 2018, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Arnold; her sisters, Violet Wolpert, Thelma Herrala and Marie Elizabeth "Betty"; and her parent Lorna Catherine Deining.
She is survived by: her sons, Tom, John Deining Peterson (Linda) and Thomas Arnold Peterson (Jackie); her sisters, Laurel Phillips and Elaine Altmanns; her granddaughters, Jennifer Ericson (Scott), Jill Crook (Jaymi) and Suzette Morales (Matt); and her great grandchildren, Kelley Ericson, Reese Ericson and Adrian Morales.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Helix Booster Club, the Greasewood Finnish Heritage Society, or Umatilla County Historical Society.
