He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Michael and Ethel Michael; his wife Shirley J Rasmussen; and his siblings, Benjamin, Charles, Eldon, Wallace, Jim and Barbara Short.
He is survived by: his children, David Michael (Debbie) of Weston and Susan Platt of Pendleton; and his grandchildren, Bodi Michael, Marty Platt, Kristie Magill, Richard Shepard, Dawn Shepard and Brandi Harris. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
