He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Christensen Bean; his daughter Barbara Mae Bean; his siblings, Thomas, Robert, Patricia Davis and Judy Bean; and his parent Jeff.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff (Jill Campbell), Charlotte (Ron Laughlin), Kathryn (Tracy Walker), John (Jill Peterson), Donald (Louise Matthews), Greg (Debbie Farnsworth), Alison (Karl Kovac), Jodi (Marshall Clark), Spencer (Estrellita Banderas) and Michael Bean. He is also survived by 53 great-grandchildren.
Jim donated thousands of hours of his professional time to worthy causes throughout his life, much of which was done anonymously.
