He is survived by: his wife Terry Virant (Virant); his children, Amanda (Jeremy Szabo), Alison (Matt Covert) and Alvin Jr. (Moritz Arjes); his sister Marla Kunkel; and his granddaughters, Haley, Autumn and Kikkan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
